Meet Dr. Hentosz

A graduate of the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, Dr. Hentosz has been practicing orthodontics since 1981. Many orthodontists graduate from their specialty training without even practicing a day in general dentistry. Dr. Hentosz, on the other hand, practiced general dentistry for five years before returning to U.S.C. for his orthodontic specialty training. This has provided him with greater experience and ability to plan complex orthodontic treatment plans involving treatment from other specialists, including your general dentist.
Dr. Hentosz is Board Certified by the National Dental Board and the California State Dental Board, and he maintains memberships with numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of Dentistry International, Pierre Fauchard Academy, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, California State Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Gabriel Valley Dental Society. He has been recognized for his skill and passion for orthodontics, and has received many honors for professional accomplishments and community service. In 1996, Dr. Hentosz was inducted into the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an organization representing the top 2% of the dentists in the world, and in 2002, he was recognized as being in the top 100 offices in the country using the Invisalign technique.
Dr. Hentosz also holds many years of experience as an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at U.S.C.’s Department of Orthodontics. He believes that teaching provides him with the ability to stay on the cutting-edge of the latest treatments and technologies available in orthodontics, and ensures that his patients receive the highest level of care possible.
He has also served as the keynote speaker for a number of seminars, and has offered lectures on subjects ranging from Juvenile Diabetes to Invisalign. Dr. Hentosz also served as a member of an elite group of orthodontists who performed a clinical study on the new “SL Frictionless Bracket” system.
